Pick up a van: one-way hire
Prefer a depot van you drive one way? Some providers specialise in one-way moves so you are not paying to return it across town. Check the quote includes insurance and a kilometre allowance.
Don't want to drive: hire a person with a van
For heavy items or stairs, hire someone who brings the van and the muscle. Airtasker lets you post the job, compare quotes from local removalists, and check reviews first. For a single-flat bundle this is often a short job, not a full day rate.
Before you hire anything
A mate with a ute and an hour can handle a small bundle. A borrowed trolley makes one person able to shift a fridge safely. Ask both buildings about the lift and loading dock. Match the option to the size of the load.
