How to sell your furniture when moving out of Sydney

2 min read

You have a move-out date and a flat full of furniture that has to be gone by then. Here is the fastest honest way to turn it into cash before you hand back the keys.

Two piles, one problem

Your furniture splits in two. The good stuff worth selling: sofa, bed, dining table. And everything else: lamps, kitchen gear, a clothes rack, the cheap microwave. Most people sell the first pile and leave the second on the kerb.

The piece-by-piece grind

The default is listing each item on Marketplace or Gumtree. It works for a sofa, but not for emptying a flat by Friday:

Sell the whole flat as one bundle

The alternative is to list everything as a single bundle and sell it to one person: someone moving into a place near you at the same time. They get a furnished apartment in one go instead of losing weekends to IKEA. You get one buyer, one collection, one payment, and an empty flat. Both piles gone, including the stuff you would have dumped for nothing.

That is what Bundle does. You list the flat, a buyer nearby matches by your move date, they pay a deposit to confirm they are serious, and you arrange one handover.
